Developer interviews

Post by Pilot_51 »

DragonMinded suggested that I take questions from the listeners for developer interviews, so here I am with a thread for you to post your questions to developers.

You can suggest developers to be interviewed, or if you are a developer you can ask to be interviewed. Target developers are those who make homebrew, ports, or game mods.
You can ask any questions within reason (nothing too personal or off topic, try to keep it focused on developing).
Make your questions unique, don't reuse questions from a previous interview or that someone else suggested, I will determine if it's necessary to reuse old questions.

Here's a list of the developers already interviewed and the questions asked to them.

Episode 1: Merciless Development, developers of the Follow Freeman mod for Half-Life 2
How and why did you get started?
Have you made mods for other games?
What is the ultimate focus of the mod?
Will there be any custom skins?
Is it going to be free forever or how hard would it be for Valve to buy it?
What are your future hopes and plans for the mod?

Episode 3: DragonMinded, developer of DSOrganize homebrew application for DS
How and why did you get started with DS development?
What features in DSOrganize are you most proud of?
Is there anything you wanted in DSOrganize that you couldn't do because of hardware limitations?
What are your plans or expectations for future versions of DSOrganize?
Have you made any other homebrew?
What other kinds of applications would you like to see on the DS?
